SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – – Today Diane Harkey announced the endorsement of the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of San Diego County (DSA) in her campaign for Congress in CA49. The DSA represents more than 2,500 sworn deputies of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
“Our organization looks to endorse candidates who not only know the issues facing law enforcement but are honest and hold the highest moral character. In every respect Diane Harkey meets that criteria. Diane is a leader who acts to support law enforcement and that is why she has our support,” said Gary Moore, President of the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of San Diego County. “We know Diane Harkey will support law enforcement the way she has always done and she will have an open door to work with law enforcement to help keep the community safe.”
Diane Harkey has received strong support from some of California’s most prominent law enforcement organizations in the election for the 49th Congressional District. Just recently Diane Harkey’s campaign announced the endorsements of the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs, Orange County Coalition of Police and Sheriffs and the California Statewide Law Enforcement Associations.
Diane Harkey was the top vote-getter in CA49 in the June Primary, earning over 25% of the vote in the crowded 16 candidate field. She currently represents every resident of the 49th District as a member of the California Board of Equalization.
