As a member of the California Board of Equalization, Diane Harkey is the highest-ranking elected Republican woman in the state. She represents 9.5 million taxpayers in Orange, San Diego as well as several other counties and won her election for the Board of Equalization with over 61% of the vote.
Diane Harkey graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine and enjoyed a successful 30-year career in corporate finance and banking prior to entering public service. Working in good and bad economic climates with individuals, small-business owners, and leaders of publicly-traded companies helped form the pragmatic business perspective that Harkey will bring to Congress.
